SHARI FORD PORTRAITS
ABOUT

My formal training began at the University of Tennessee, where I earned a B.F.A. degree. I went on to study independently in Europe, where I immersed myself in the compositions and techniques of the Old Masters. That classical foundation still shapes my work today. I’ve also been deeply inspired by impressionists such as John Singer Sargent, whose brushwork speaks with elegance, and George Benson, whose light-filled colors bring vibrancy and life. These influences weave together in my own style, balancing structure with energy.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of creating portraits that are now treasured in both private and corporate collections across the United States. I strive not only for an exceptional likeness but also to capture the true spirit of the individual — the spark that makes each person who they are.

My work has been featured in International Artist magazine’s Master Portrait Artist Showcase, as well as publications like Veranda and Southern Accents. Each recognition is meaningful, but my truest reward comes from the clients and families who entrust me with their stories through portraiture.
